Will Rogers Cattle Barn 2 and Milking Parlor

Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford renovated Cattle Barn 2 with a new Milking Parlor. The existing space was renovated to bring the well-used barn up to modern-day, state-of-the-art standards.

The renovation of Cattle Barn 2 created an opportunity for the City and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo to upgrade the barn to today’s standards for housing animal exhibits and horse shows, while maintaining the original character of the barn originally built in the 1940s.

New features of the space include new lighting, wider stalls and walking areas. The space also includes additional washing facilities. The biggest improvement is in the electrical system and features added outlets along the stall walls.

The old milking parlor, which often had standing room only as people passed between barns has been renovated to allow seating which can hold more visitors. The audience now views the cattle from below the ground level in a closed off room. Cattle also no longer have to climb up a steep ramp into the parlor which is now on ground level.

The new renovations will prepare the space for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
