Heart O’ Texas Coliseum

Prior to renovation, this Coliseum (circa 1950) had been host to rodeo, hockey, and concert events. Project features include a new “ring” addition with updated entrances, administrative, locker areas, concessions, and an expanded observation bar and club.
At the existing facility, HVAC systems were provided, code issues addressed, and updated lighting/ sound systems installed. The exterior of the original coliseum was re-skinned with metal and the addition faced in masonry. The new image of the building is one of a first class events venue that reflects the proud heritage of Central Texas.
This project was the first phase of a multi-phased project for the Heart O’ Texas Fairgrounds. Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford served as Design Architect for this project and Architect-of-Record was RBDR.
