Chisholm Trail Intermediate School – Keller ISD

This Keller ISD school was designed to function as an education center for 1,200 fifth and sixth graders. The building is organized along a two-story, split-level spine running parallel with the frontage street.

This linear space has translucent glass clerestory panels to allow natural light into the building and is topped with a sloped metal roof alluding to nearby Alliance Airport. At one end is the two-story academic wing, and at the other end is the cafetorium, gymnasium, and music areas. The central space incorporates shared facilities including administrative, library, art and special education.
