Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford designed a facility that houses both offices and stables for the Mounted Patrol unit. The facility has 5,600 SF of office space for officers and staff and 17,000 SF of conditioned barn space for the horses. The office space contains locker rooms, a community room and some exhibit space. The complex, located in northwest Fort Worth along North Las Vegas Trail, is in a rural area with pasture and horse runs adjacent to the building.
“This was an important opportunity to create a new facility for the Mounted Patrol that houses ample stalling capacity for the horses with run-out space as well to ensure the horses can perform their best,” David Stanford, AIA, principal designer, said.
